Website updates, OMG! [15 Oct 2005|12:17am] [ mood | happy ] [ music | "Push The Button" - Beastie Boys ] Okay, this is more scary than me actually posting fanfics. I have - get this - actually updated my websites. For the first time in at least a year. So, Eye on Fowl is now back up and running, and hopefully shall be for a long time to come. And I've already had a shiny news find - new spiffy cover design for a reprint of Artemis Fowl! (I am so making icons out of it.) What was Haven City has now become Mesmerised, because I was tired of that tacky old name. And it has a new layout and some nice new content too. I've also tidied up Vanilla Butterflies and given that a new layout. This is why it's now gone midnight and I'm not in bed yet. I spent about two hours uploading files, and I'm not exaggerating here. Plus there's all the time I spent writing, coding, etc. over the last three weeks. (I did manage to find something to do whilst coughing my lungs up.) Except because it took me so long, I've haven't yet put up the new fanfics that I wrote since the last update. So, err, fangedbeauty, if you're wondering where they've gone... >_>;; I'll try and do those tomorrow. Until then, they're all readable on my LJ. I still need to name those two Juliet drabbles. Heh, because I was doing all this, I totally forgot it was Friday. Well, I remembered today was Friday, but forgot what that means in web terms: new Angel Moxie, new ScaryGoRound, new B3ta newsletter... Discovered! A Juliet stand-in. Plus: more site updates. [15 Oct 2005|11:22pm] [ music | "Why" - Natasha Thomas ] Yesterday I received the woeful news that ELLEgirl, the single girls' fashion magazine that expects its readers to own at least half a brain, will no longer be published. Sad indeed... Yet my sudden fit of nostalgia did have a plus side: whilst rereading the latest (and now last) issue, I suddenly thought of someone who I could use as Juliet in my icons. Natasha Thomas. You may or may not recognise her. You probably won't recognise her name, nor are you likely to be any the wiser if I tell you that she's a Danish pop singer. But things might start to click when you know that she's the girl who advertises Lacoste Pink. I think from some angles she looks quite a lot like how I imagine Juliet and from others she doesn't look like her at all so I've gone and downloaded a whole bunch of pictures to use in icons. Unfortunately I don't have quite so many pictures of Winona Ryder! (But I know where to get those from, so that's okay.) Today I updated my website again: I put up two fics you might remember from recent journal posts, "The Second Parent" and "Escapism". Plus an old Foaly fic I somehow forgot to post at the time called "Second Chances". And the infamous "Girl Talk" - which most of you won't have read, but if you have, I'm fairly sure you'll know which one it is. I'd totally forgotten how much of a buzz it is to have a fully functioning website. It gets me all jazzed up and want to do more for it. I've already put some new info on Eye on Fowl and I might have a lead on something for tomorrow... On an Eye on Fowl related side note: my counter tells me the referring page. Heh.
