My site's been down for the last week. Liz keeps complaining that she can't Dwarf my fics because they're not actually there to Dwarf... ^^;; I must say it's rather annoying to have a site that randomly goes down "due to bandwidth", but it shouldn't be down this long, right?
Right. It turns out that it's not specifically my site that's run out of bandwidth - it's my hosts. My hosts have run out of bandwidth. =0 I am scared by this.
So now I am fed up with this whole thing, and am moving my site. Brinkster don't have ads or anything else inherently evil, so the main bit will be up there. Unfortunately they don't allow direct linking which means that I can't put my icons up there...
I spent ages and ages searching for somewhere that did allow direct linking, and eventually discovered FrailArt.net. It's specifically designed for people to post things like icons in journals, which is great - a lot of hosting sites don't allow you to use their space for "storage".
Which means I'm all sorted. =D Except for the having to upload about a hundred files part... >.<;;
( And I spent about five hours talking with Liz this morning. We were both a bit insane, and will probably never eat cheese again. At least, not without laughing. XD )
