Injuries, "The Magicians' Guild" and ficcy-wibbling.
I am a multitasking genius. Earlier I managed to watch Farscape, eat tea and scald myself all at once! Go me. (The sauce squirted out of my pie, all over my hand. And it was very hot sauce. I had to run the whole of my thumb under the cold tap until it went numb.)
Yesterday I finished reading "The Magicians' Guild" by Trudi Canavan. The plot was a little predictable, the narrative was okay but not great and there was hardly any background detail... But, I don't know, there was something about the characters that means I can't stop thinking about it. I need to read the second one, right now, because my brain is refusing all other books on the basis of them being the wrong colours. Gnah.
Still not decided what to do fanfic-wise. I started another one last night, an Artemis/Juliet, which I think would be a better thing to post on FF.net - but I haven't finished it. And I can feel the images of it quietly slipping from my mind even as I type. I really like the idea of it, but in terms of structure it is not how I usually work, so I guess that's why it's fading. Hopefully I'll get it done. Or something else suitable instead, anyway.
I suppose I'd better get off the computer and go and either sleep or write. I've gotten out of bed several times already 'cause I keep being distracted by "The Magicians' Guild". I shall have to, I don't know, beat myself in the head with a brick or something.
Anyway, yeah, bed.
